Old Country Brazos is a Good Deal at $1000 but I'd want to add a counter weight to the cook chamber lid. Pretty well agree with what Smitty says. If you've never laid hands on the Brazos, it's a heavy duty, solid pit and I think a great deal at $1K. Probably the heaviest pit you will find in any big box store.

Then I sprayed the entire cooking chamber inside including the grills, lid, bottom, everything. On the firebox side, don't waste your time spraying the inside of it.
